Tool Review: Pen Flashlight

We are starting out with something simple as a part of a new section of tool reviews for the Occasional Explorer, a flashlight. Yep that's right it's a flashlight... and a cheap one too, it cost me $2.88 at Meijer.

What makes this flashlight special is the fact that it is remarkably effective for how inexpensive it is. Firstly it's only a bit wider than a pen and has the same style click top, it also uses an ordinary AAA battery and goes a claimed 15 continuous hours before it's dead. I've had one of these at work where I am an automotive technician for several months now and it has continued to work splendidly. It's perfect to throw in your pocket and use for those quick, 'I just can't quite make out if that...' inspections. If you do any work on your house, car, boat etc, get one, for less than a latte at Starbucks you won't have to use your cell phone to find that bolt that kinda just slid off into the dark.

Manufacturer: Rayovac
Price: Less than $3.00
